Since 1999, FARMAK, a.s., has been involved in a global initiative RESPONSIBLE CARE – responsible business practice in chemistry.
The Responsible Care program is a globally accepted, voluntary initiative developed by the chemical industry to support its sustainable development by reasonably increasing the safety of production facilities, products including their transportation, as well as increasing the protection of health, working surroundings and the environment. The program represents a long-term strategy coordinated by thy the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and by the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) in agreement with the Chemical Distribution in Europe (Fecc) initiative.
A Czech version of the Responsible Care initiative is a program called ‘Odpovědné podnikání v chemii‘ officially established by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in October 1994. The coordinating institution of the program is the Association of Chemical Industry of the Czech Republic (SCHP CR).
In 2016, FARMAK, a.s. obtained the the right to use the Responsible Care logo for the eighth time in its history.
